Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic is a method to assess imbalances that disrupt the connection between your brain and body. Because chiropractic adjustments restore that brain-body connection, your body can heal itself, so it can better recover from any injuries or imbalances that you’re experiencing. Chiropractic can also improve overall health.

Frequently Asked Questions
Once I go to a chiropractor, will I always have to go?
No, but just like exercising or any other healthy habit, as long as you want to reap the benefits of that habit, you’ll want to receive regular chiropractic care. Consider chiropractic another healthy habit in your wellness regimen.
Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?
It should never hurt. Most people don’t have any pain afterward. A few might feel sore after the first or couple of adjustments, similar to what you’d feel after a workout at the gym.
Can chiropractic cure everything?
No, it’s not a cure for anything. Instead of curing or treating a symptom, chiropractic helps get your body into a better state. Because chiropractic restores the brain-body connection, your body can heal faster.
Do I need a referral from an MD to see you?
No.
Do you work with medical doctors?
We will help co-manage patients’ care with other providers. We make sure we know what’s happening on your medical doctor’s side, so we can come up with the best care plan for you regarding your overall health.
Will I get adjusted on my first visit?
It depends. For most adults, we start with X-rays, as evaluating the spine is the focus of the first visit. Then, on the following visit, you’ll get adjusted. Because we don’t take X-rays of babies, kids and pregnant women, they typically get their first adjustment on the initial visit.
Will you suggest exercise or other things I can do?
Yes, we recommend certain exercises and stretches that can help with your particular situation. There’s no one-size-fits-all exercise or stretch that we recommend to everyone. Once we determine what your body needs and your particular concerns are, we will provide customized exercises.
Can someone who has had back surgery see a chiropractor?
It always depends on what type of surgery for what the case is, but we see lots of patients who have had previous back surgeries. That’s why we take X-rays and do an evaluation on the first visit, so we can find out exactly what was done before. It’s important that we ensure we’re working with the right areas, and not with other areas that we might not want to adjust according to what surgery you’ve had.
